Mission and Vision
Our Mission is to bring persons into a saving redemptive relationship with Jesus Christ. We are a Spiritual body whose only foundation is the Word of God. We fulfill our ministry as we preach and teach, pray and empower, forgive and reconcile. Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church seeks to be God's agents of healing and wholeness in a wounded and fragmented community. Furthermore, Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church seeks to be a congregation that ministers to all of its members and values its youth by religiously educating them so that they may live balanced and fruitful lives. We believe that love one for another as Jesus loves the believer manifests our discipleship, proves our love for God and symbolizes our authority as New Testament churches. Love is therefore the great commandment of the LORD Jesus Christ upon which all others are dependent (Matt. 22:35-40; John 13:34, 35; John 15:12; 1 John 4:7-21; 1 John 5:1-3; Rev. 2:4, 5.
The Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church has been called to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole man, compelling them to come to know Jesus as their personal savior. To minister to the needs of all of God's children spiritually, physically, mentally, economically and socially. This vision goal will be accomplished through the four pillars of the church; preaching, teaching, evangelism and discipleship. The Vision is to build people through in-reach and outreach programs. Training men, women, boys, and girls to walk worthy of the vocation in which they have been called. The Vision is to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit as God directs our path. The Vision is to build God an army of sold out families, and individuals commissioned to do his will.
